AIXINJUELUO LIANJING

Aixinjueluo
Lianjing was born into a family of Imperial lineage in 1940. He is a descendant
of the Taizong Emperor and the grandson of Prince Su, ranked first among
eight hereditary princes in the Qing Dynasty. His art education began during
childhood in the Imperial family. His outstanding artistic skills brought
him high praise from such notable artists as Chen Banting, Xu Beihong and
Jiang Zhaohe. At the age of sixteen he was admitted to the Central College
of Fine Arts. Due to his excellent grades, he was recommended for immediate
admission to the Central College of Fine arts where his skills continued
to flourish. After College he began work as a painter and scholar in a unit
of high regard at the Art Academy of Beijing. He is now associate chief
of the painting section at the Academy.
Over the last thirty years, his works have been exhibited in Japan, Singapore,
Malaysia, Korea, Australia, Russia, Romania, Finland, Italy, France, The
U.K., Egypt, Algeria, Canada, Macau, Taiwan and Hong Kong. His first one
man show in the United States was held by Jadestone Gallery in 1998. His
paintings have won numerous awards worldwide and in 1990, his painting entitled
Grand View of Rivers was selected by President Jiang Zemin for
use on the Christmas card sent to other world leaders.
